The
Sony Ericsson
P800 is a "Mobile Entertainment Device",
and we thought it was a mobile, but with an Mp3 player,
digital camera and "colour touchscreen" it's
much more than Just another Mobile with polyphonic
sound, Multimedia messaging (MMS), Java and BluetoothTM.
In
fact you could describe it as a games consonle with it's
ability to play 3D games in wide-screen format using the
on-screen touch controls.
This
host of features have forced them not to call it a phone
but instead a "P800"
With a 16MB Memory Stick Duo plus additional 12MB internal
storage space allowing storage of video clips, your own
photo album, polyphonic ring signals and Java applications.
The
P800 allows viewing of streaming video or video-clips
on the go, and the createtion of Multimedia messages with
photos and sound and allows them to be sent the minute
after. You can add photos to your contacts to see who’s
calling, and design your own wallpaper and screensavers.
The e-mail, calendar, contacts and notes applications
can be synchronised with Outlook and Lotus Notes on your
PC. The P800 handles e-mail with attachments, including
Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Acrobat. The P800 also supports
GPRS, High Speed Data and WAP 2.0.
A
new species has evolved and they call it the P800
